Events Guidance

Event organisers should have documentation which depending on the size of the event should at minimum be a risk assessment. Larger events should have an Event Management Plan (EMP) and where large road closures are in place a Traffic Management Plan.

We will be asking event organisers who are making road closure applications to have a risk assessment and depending on the size of the event an EMP. Some events may be invited to attend a meeting of our Safety Advisory Group.
