Stratford-on-Avon District Council provides twelve car parks with more than 2,800 parking spaces in Stratford-upon-Avon town centre. There are signs on all approach roads and throughout the town to guide you to the council's car parks.
Two of the car parks in Stratford-upon-Avon (Bridgeway Multi-Storey Car Park and the adjacent Bridgeway Surface Car Park) have an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) Barrier System in place - please see these car parks' individual pages for more information.
All the other council car parks are pay and display, which means you have to buy a ticket on arrival and display it clearly in your vehicle. Charges apply 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The council also provides more than 800 car parking spaces in surrounding towns and villages in the district.
All the car parks are free of charge with the exception of Telegraph Street Car Park in Shipston-on-Stour.
There are spaces for motorcycles in Stratford-upon-Avon including a designated free Motorcycle Park adjacent to the Bridgeway Multi-Storey Car Park. There is also a designated Coach and Lorry Park and Motorhome Parking within the Riverside Car Park in Stratford-upon-Avon.
The majority of the council's car parks have bays for disabled drivers. In addition, drivers with a valid Blue Badge can park in any standard parking bay for free. The council also provides a free ShopMobility scheme for mobility-impaired residents and visitors, located within Bridgeway Multi-Storey Car Park.
