Press Release

Published on 17 February 2025

Stratford-on-Avon District Council's Noticeboard Grant is now open for applications. Parish and Town Councils, community venues and local groups are invited to apply for funding for new community noticeboards.

There is £7,500 available with potential for supporting the purchase of 6-7 noticeboards across the District.

The grant will be open until Friday 14th March 2025 and will be available for any community group to apply for either a new or replacement noticeboard.

As part of Stratford-on-Avon District Council's work towards growing opportunities within communities, the grant aims to enable local residents to access information about local groups, support services and activities available to them, where digital exclusion may be a barrier to finding this information via online methods.

Cllr Liz Coles, Portfolio Holder for Housing and Customer Services, said, "I am delighted that this grant is available, it is a brilliant opportunity, and I know there are many communities in our District who would benefit from a noticeboard. Community noticeboards are an invaluable way to access information across our rural communities. I would encourage emerging new communities and local groups to apply for this grant, to ensure as many residents as possible can benefit from all our vibrant communities have to offer."
