Poll cards issued for Warwickshire County Council's 2025 Election

The elections for Warwickshire County Council take place on Thursday 1 May 2025 and 109,241 poll cards notifying residents of this election are now being sent out.

The poll cards inform residents in the 13 divisions in Stratford-on-Avon District, represented by Warwickshire County Council, where their polling station is and when they can vote from, 7am until 10pm.

Electors do not, however, have to produce their poll cards at the polling station to be able to vote - it just makes it easier if they do.

Electors should be guided by the information on their poll card as to where they should vote.

To be able to vote at this election residents must be aged 18 or over on the day of the poll, a British, Commonwealth, Irish or Qualifying EU citizen and be on the electoral register or have applied to be so by midnight on Friday 11 April.  It's easy to register to vote, just go on-line to www.gov.uk/register-to-vote - it only takes 5 minutes.

Electors who wish to vote at a polling station must show acceptable photo ID, such as a passport, driving licence, blue badge and certain bus passes. If electors do not have suitable photo ID, they can apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate online at Apply for photo ID to vote (called a 'Voter Authority Certificate') - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) or in person at Stratford-on-Avon District Council Offices by 5pm on Wednesday 23 April.

Voters have a range of options for casting their ballot - in person, by post or by appointing someone they trust to vote in their place, known as a proxy vote.

All completed postal vote application forms must be submitted before 5pm on Monday 14 April and applications for proxy votes close at 5pm on Wednesday 23 April.
