Press Release
Published on 6 December 2024
In January 2024, the first phase of the Stratford-on-Avon District Council Community Climate Change Fund opened for applications to invest in work to tackle the climate emergency. Ten projects received funding from the first phase of the fund, with delivery of the projects currently. You can view some case studies of the successful projects here.
Following feedback from phase one, the following changes have been made:
Cllr Susan Juned, Leader of Stratford-on-Avon District Council, said: "It is essential to work with our communities if we are to tackle climate change and biodiversity depletion. We want to give people the tools to take action, find solutions that are grounded in local communities and tell others of their success."
£55,863 is available to successful applicants in phase two of the fund. Applications will open from the 10th of January. Find out more here.
The District Council will also be hosting a Webinar Event to provide interested parties with the opportunity to formulate project ideas and detailed guidance on the application process. To register your interest to attend the event, or if you have any other queries, please contact the team via climate.emergency@stratford-dc.gov.uk
