The Amazon Sortation Centre at Redditch Eastern Gateway which will start operations later this year will create 200 new permanent jobs over two years. Amazon has started recruiting for a range of new roles including engineers, flow control specialists, robotics engineering specialists and team members who will ship customer orders.
Amazon will be hosting an online recruitment event on 13 July to provide further details on the many different roles available at the new centre.

The Amazon Sortation Centre is being fitted with advanced Amazon Robotics technology which will help sort parcels from Amazon's fulfilment centres before they are transported to delivery stations from where they are collected by drivers for delivery to customers.
Redditch Borough Council Leader Matt Dormer, said: "What great news for Redditch and our residents to have this employment opportunity on their doorstep. This Council promised to unlock Redditch's potential and the regeneration of our Borough is at the top of this list.
"Along with the Town Centre plans and the investment we have received to make this reality, this latest news is further proof that we will deliver our promises. To have a key player like Amazon based in our town demonstrates that our potential is also recognised externally."
Stratford-on-Avon District Council Leader Tony Jefferson said: "The investment and new jobs that Amazon will bring is a fantastic endorsement of the area. It demonstrates that the region, and our District, is very much open for business. I am pleased that it would appear that many of the jobs on offer are highly skilled. These are very welcome and will provide good opportunities for local people."
Amazon Regional Director Kevin Marsh said: "We are excited to announce we'll be opening a new sortation centre in Bromsgrove and Redditch later this year, creating more than 200 permanent jobs over two years with competitive pay in a modern, safe workplace.
"Our people have played a critical role in serving customers in these unprecedented times and the new roles will help us continue to meet customer demand and support small and medium sized businesses selling on Amazon."
