Stratford-on-Avon District Council is holding a seven-week public consultation on a draft Development Requirements Supplementary Planning Document (SPD).

The document is one of a number of SPDs that accompanies the Core Strategy, and it provides detailed advice and guidance to applicants when submitting planning applications.  When finished (adopted), it will be used by Stratford-upon-Avon Council to help reach decisions on whether to approve or refuse planning applications.

The consultation document is divided into fourteen parts on which you can comment.

Part D. Design Principles
Part E. Architectural Style, Construction and Materials
Part F. Parking and Travel
Part G. Refuse and Recycling Storage
Part H. Heat Networks/District Heating
Part I. Healthy Communities
Part J. Planning Conditions and S106 Planning Obligations
Part K. Shopfronts
Part L. Agricultural Buildings
Part N. Meeting Housing Needs
Part L. Landscaping, Biodiversity and Green Infrastructure

The consultation runs from Thursday 1 March to 5pm on Friday 20 April 2018

The consultation document can be viewed on the District Council's website at www.stratford.gov.uk/devreq-spd.

It is also available to inspect at the District Council offices - Elizabeth House, Church Street, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6HX and at public libraries across the District.

Copies of the document can be obtained from the Council.

The Council is also hosting two drop-in days when officers will be available to answer questions and provide more information.

The Grange Hall, Coventry Road, Southam CV47 1QA on Thursday 15 March from 2pm to 7pm
Stratford District Council offices at Elizabeth House, Church Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, Cv37 6HX on Wednesday 28 March from 2pm to 7pm.                                                                               

How to Comment
Comments are invited on any aspect of the SPD.

Responses can be made: 
Via the on-line comment form using the link above - or
by downloading a comment form and:
emailing it to policy.consultation@stratford-dc.gov.uk - or
posting it to: Freepost Plus RTYG-BGXS-ESLZ, Stratford on Avon District Council, Elizabeth House, Church Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, CV37 6HX - or      returning it to the District Council offices in Stratford-upon-Avon.        

What happens next
The comments submitted during the consultation period will be assessed and the SPD will be amended as appropriate prior to its adoption by the Council.  

Comments must be received by the District Council by 5pm on Friday 20 April 2018.
