Green bin collections will be suspended for two weeks from Monday 26 December 2022 to Friday 6 January 2023, to allow our crews to prioritise the additional recycling and food waste that accrues over Christmas.
If you have any garden waste over this time that can't wait for the next collection, you can take it to your local recycling centre
Green bin collections will resume from Monday 9 January 2023.

Recycling wrapping paper and Christmas cards
Wrapping paper and Christmas cards can be recycled in your blue-lidded wheeled bin.
We cannot recycle foil wrapping paper, glittery wrapping paper, glittery cards, ribbons, bows and tape.
For a full list of what can be recycled please visit our recycling pages
Extra recycling over Christmas?
Put extra recycling in a sturdy container or red box and place beside your blue-lidded wheeled bin. Please flatten or cut large cardboard in pieces no larger than 1m x 1m.
Side waste
We are not able to collect any side waste from your grey bin or food caddy. Please ensure that all waste is inside your bin or caddy.
Christmas tree recycling
We'll be collecting real Christmas trees from Monday 9 January to Friday 20 January 2023, and you don't need to have a green bin permit subscription to have yours collected. Please ensure that all lights and decorations have been removed from the tree. Any tree that is over 5ft tall must be cut in half.
Leave your tree outside in a place that's not obstructing the highway and we'll collect it for you.
If you're subscribed to the green bin service, you can chop it up and put it in your bin.
Other ways to recycle your Christmas Tree
