The consultation on the draft revised Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) began on Thursday 21 September and it runs until Friday 3 November 2023.
As part of the consultation, Stratford-on-Avon District Council is hosting a
drop-in session at its headquarters in Stratford-upon-Avon - Elizabeth House, Church Street - for any questions regarding the draft SCI on Monday 23 October between 10am to 3pm.
Representations on the draft SCI may be made to the District Council no later than 5pm on Friday 3 November 2023.
You are encouraged to submit your comments electronically. This can be done either by using the on-line form on the website at https://www.stratford.gov.uk/planning-building/statement-of-community-involvement.cfm or by attaching a form to an email and sending it to planning.policy@stratford-dc.gov.uk.

Planning decisions affect land and buildings, so it is important that local communities, businesses, and other interested parties have opportunity to engage in the processes for plan-making and development management decision-making. A SCI identifies how and when they can be involved.
The SCI sets out how Stratford-on-Avon District Council as the Local Planning Authority will engage stakeholders in the following planning documents and applications:
- Development Plan Documents;
- Supplementary Planning Documents;
- Neighbourhood Plans;
- Community Infrastructure Levy;
- Planning Applications; and
- Permission in Principle.
This SCI is a Local Development Document and once adopted will supersede Stratford District Council's previously adopted SCI (October 2020) - Statement of Community Involvement | Stratford-on-Avon District Council.
