On Thursday 12 October, Stratford-on-Avon District Council held its fifth neighbourhood plan referendum.
Voters in Welford-on-Avon went to the polls to respond to the question: "Do you want Stratford-on-Avon District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Welford-on-Avon to help decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?"
The results were as follows:
The number of votes cast in favour of YES was 445 (86.9%)
The number of votes cast in favour of NO was 67 (13.08%)
Total number of votes cast 513 - 1 reject.
The turnout was 39.86%.
