Stratford-on-Avon District Council will be carrying out a number of tree works around the Recreation Ground Play Area, the Tramway Walk and the Recreation car park in Stratford-upon-Avon this week.
Following a recent independent risk assessment of the trees, 16 Ash trees have been identified for removal due to structural defects and associated decay fungi along the Tramway and within the Recreation Ground car park and play area.
The tree surgeons at Warwickshire County Council will be removing the trees on behalf of the District Council. This work is due to be completed at the end of January, weather permitting.
Public Notices have been put in place warning of the closure while the work is carried out.
Replacement planting at the play area will be carried out as swiftly as possible with well-chosen species for the ground and location.
