New appointment to Coventry and Warwickshire LEP Board

Councillor Dave Riches, Enterprise and Revenues Portfolio Holder at Stratford-on-Avon District Council has been appointed as the District Council's representative on the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership (CWLEP) Board.  

Cllr Riches replaces Cllr Chris Saint on the CWLEP Board.  

Cllr Dave Riches (Long Itchington and Stockton) has been a District Councillor since 2014 and represents the District Council on a number of outside bodies including the Coventry and Warwickshire Business Rate Pool; Shakespeare's England Ltd (Destination Management Organisation for Tourism); Stratford Markets Forum and Stratforward (Business Improvement District Company).  

Cllr Riches has lived in Southam for 18 years and runs his own IT Consultancy business, Xreflow and has been self-employed since he was 19 years old.  In his spare time he likes flying light aircraft and spending time with his family.

Cllr Dave Riches says: "I'm looking forward to representing the District Council on the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership Board.  It's important that we're represented and have a seat at the table to get our voice heard.  

"I'm joining a diverse team of people, all of whom share a common desire to see the Coventry and Warwickshire region flourish and I hope that my experience of both local politics and business will prove to be a beneficial addition to the LEP Board."
