New CAT in Southam

Residents in Southam will now be able to contact Stratford-on-Avon District Council using the new Customer Access Terminal (CAT).

Our terminals allow you to talk, one-to-one with a customer service advisor at our headquarters in Stratford-upon-Avon. Each terminal is equipped with scanners and webcams. The scanner allows you to easily show documents to our advisors and if necessary, capture the image for processing, the webcams allow you to interact face to face for a more personal service.

The CAT in Southam is located at Southam Library & Information Centre, Tithe Place, High Street, Southam, CV47 0HB.

• Monday - 09:30 - 16:00
• Tuesday - 09:30 - 16:00
• Wednesday - CLOSED
• Thursday - 09:30 - 16:00
• Friday - 09:30 - 16:00

Cllr Liz Coles, Portfolio Holder for Housing and Customer Services, said: "I'm delighted to see the CAT installed and serving the residents of Southam.  It is part of our council plan to improve services for residents giving access without the need to travel long distances".

"The council has been working to improve access for residents. While many people can use the internet and phone, sometimes face-to-face enquiries and discussions can help. For residents who live nearer to Stratford town there are service desks to talk to customer service advisors in-person.

"This has not always been convenient for residents in other parts of the district very remote from Stratford town. The council has now installed a customer access point in Southam Library where residents with enquires can talk face-to-face to an advisor over a screen linked to the offices in Stratford, avoiding the need for a long trip.

"Enquiries relating to council tax, benefits, and housing can be dealt with there. We have already had feedback that this is a welcome improvement for those residents living a long way from Stratford town."
