Standards of customer service at Stratford Leisure & Visitor Centre have improved in quality over the last two years. Stratford-on-Avon District Council, which owns the leisure centre, says that as a result, its contractor's performance has now placed it in the top third of leisure centres around the country.
SLM Ltd - the contractor - achieved the level of service after an audit by QUEST, which is the bench mark for management of sports & leisure facilities throughout the UK.
"This is excellent news for everyone who uses our leisure centres," said Cllr Juliet Short, the district council's portfolio holder for community services.
"SLM have improved on their score from a QUEST audit two years ago, proving they have enhanced the quality of their service provision through better management of people and resources to the community."
The district council has appointed SLM Ltd to also manage its leisure facilities at Southam, Studley, and at a new centre to be opened later this year at Shipston-on-Stour.
