Community groups across south Warwickshire could be in for a cash boost from their local council, but they need to be quick. Stratford-on-Avon District Council runs a community grants scheme which is open to local voluntary and community, not-for-profit groups.
Any group interested in applying for a grant has until 30 November to get their application in.
Grants are available for one-off project costs and there is a small amount of this year's grants budget still available for allocation. This is the last opportunity to apply for a community grant in this financial year.
Application forms are available from the community grants team on 01789 260649.
The emphasis is on community projects where a small sum of money can have a big impact. The aim is to make a real difference to smaller groups and strengthen community activity.
Communities that have already benefited from grants include projects as diverse as: driving skills aimed at giving youngsters a taste of life behind the wheel; creating sensory garden; and refurbishing part of a village church to serve as a village hall.
