Visitors to Stratford-upon-Avon with mobility problems will have a new shopmobility facility from next week. Stratford-on-Avon District Council is relocating the shopmobility service on 9 January to the Bridgefoot multi storey car park. Its current location at the back of Sheep Street will be closed.
Shopmobility allows people with mobility problems to go shopping around the town by borrowing motorised scooters, wheelchairs and other mobility aids. The service is free to all members of the public who have mobility problems and free parking for shopmobility users is available at the new site.
Times of opening for the new site are:
Monday - 10.00am - 3.00pm
Tuesday to Saturday - 9.00am - 4.00pm
Anyone wishing to use the service can pre-book the equipment by calling 01789 414534.
An official opening of the new facility will take place later in January. Further details on this will be issued nearer the time.
