If you are serious about stopping smoking, you can do it.
That's the message from Stratford-on-Avon District Council for this year's no smoking day campaign, on Wednesday 8 March. The District Council has joined forces with Smoke Free Warwickshire and Warwickshire Stop Smoking Service to offer help and advice to smokers who are serious about stopping smoking, with the message "You can do it!"
Supermarket Morrisons in Stratford-upon-Avon will be the focus for the campaign, with a display stand offering support and advice to anyone interested in giving up smoking. There will be goody bags for visitors to the stand and an opportunity to enter a No Smoking Day Quick Quit Quiz for a lucky winner to indulge in a spa day for two at Ardencote Manor Hotel & Country Club.
District Council and Warwickshire Stop Smoking Service staff will be in Morrisons between 10.00 and 2.00 on Wednesday 8 March. Smokers and non-smokers will be offered free carbon monoxide breath checks as well as advice and assistance on smoking issues.
For further information about the campaign please contact Nancy Singleton at Stratford-on-Avon District Council on 01789 260803.
Anyone who wants free advice and support on how to give up smoking should contact their local doctor's surgery or phone the NHS Smoking Helpline on 0800 169 0 169.
