Stratford-on-Avon District Council officials are warning visitors to Stratford town centre to be aware of a parking ticket scam.
The District Council was made aware of this when a member of the public queried a ticket with a Parking Attendant. The fraudulent ticket was a photocopy of another ticket and certain details had been hand written.
The tickets issued by the District Council Parking Attendants are generated using hand held machines with no handwriting on, except for the signature. The appeal procedure is also explained on the back of the ticket, which is blank on the hoax ticket.
If members of the public are unsure about a parking ticket or if they have been issued with a hoax ticket they should contact the District Council on 01789 267575.
