Revisions to fenestration, door openings and 3no new conservation roof lights at The Hollies, High Street, Welford-on-Avon, CV37 8EA for Mr and Mrs Keith Webb
  • 21/00510/LBC Consent is required to change colour of external painted woodwork. The exterior painted woodwork on our Grade II listed barn conversion (Meadow Barn, Newnham, B95 6DU) needs some routine maintenance and repair. This will be carried out on a like-for-like basis - with the exception of the colour.
The barn was converted to a domestic property in 1987, and the exterior woodwork is currently painted a dark brown. We were advised a few years ago by a member of the local Planning Applications team that while the dark brown would have been acceptable in the 1980s, it would no longer be approved. We discussed a more 'heritage' grey-toned colour, which they suggested would be favoured now.
We would therefore like to change the colour of the exterior woodwork from dark brown to a dark grey as this essential maintenance work is carried out. This change will better align the colour of the woodwork to decorative brickwork featured on the front elevation, as well as to the blue brick patio and steps to the rear of the property.
Supporting images will be submitted as a collated PDF along with this Listed Building Consent application at Meadow Barn, Newnham, Wootton Wawen, B95 6DU  for Ms Kyla Skinner
