Community projects across south Warwickshire have been awarded £20,000 in the latest round of the National Lottery funding programme 'Awards for All'.

The emphasis of the Awards for All scheme is on community projects where a small sum of money can have a big impact. If you are a local group and you need between £500 and £5,000, then Awards for All may be able to help you. The aim is to make a real difference to smaller groups and strengthen community activity.

Any local community group in south Warwickshire who would like to apply for a grant should contact Lucy Workman at Stratford-on-Avon District Council on 01789 260694 for advice.

The four grants totalling £20,000 that have been awarded in this round in the Stratford District are:

£5,000 to Marston Sicca Parish Council: to develop a community website to be updates and supported by people in the local community. The grant will pay for a computer, hardware, broadband connection, domain name, software, training and technical support.

£5,000 to Snitterfield Primary School: to improve the wildlife area within this school, through an out-of-school-hours project involving the pupils and local community groups.

£5,000 to Guide & Scout Support Group: to this group, based in Harbury, to provide sporting activities for young scouts and guides.

£5,000 to Tysoe Children's Group Ltd: to resurface their play area.
