Stratford-on-Avon District Council emergency centre is in operation following a day of heavy rainfall.
The District Council's Flooding Hotline number is 01789 260380 or 01789 260381 for anyone experiencing problems relating to the severe weather.
All District Council services have been suspended except the Contact Centre, front reception and the emergency centre.
The District is badly affected by flooding of land and property. Flood warnings and flood watches are in place across the District with the Shipston area having a Severe Floodwatch.
Reports of flooding have been received in the following area:- Alderminster, Arlescote, Bidford, Brailes, Broom, Clifford Chambers, Clopton, Coughton, Ettington, Fenny Compton, Gaydon, Halford, Henley, Lighthorne, Long Marston, Lower Quinton, Loxley, Mappleborough Green, Moreton Morrell, Napton on the Hill, Newbold on Stour, Oversley Green, Salford Priors, Shipston, Shottery, Snitterfield, Southam, Stratford, Studley, Tanworth, Tredington, Tysoe, Warmington, Wellesbourne and Wootton Wawen.
Many roads across the District are either passable with care or impassable.
Refuse and recycling collections have been suspended, with recycling reschedules for Monday. Attempts for collection of refuse will be made tomorrow (Saturday), but only if it is safe.
Sandbags are not available from the District Council but may be available from local Parish Councils. 'Temporary sandbags' can be created from supermarket bags filled with soil.
The emergency centre will remain open until further notice.
Warwickshire County Council Emergency Planning unit has had an update from the Met Office indicating that persistent significant rainfall will continue in the Warwickshire area. It is expected that rain will continue into the early hours of Saturday 21st July at least beyond 3am. But there is no indication whether that rain will be in Stratford District.
