Stratford-on-Avon District Council's Chairman, Cllr Stewart Beese will be officially opening Studley's FREE Community Carnival.  

The Carnival is this Friday, 20 July from 5pm on the Millennium Green, Studley. 

Community events for all ages include "taster" sessions promoting sports and leisure activities being run over the summer, provided by the District Council's Leisure Development Team.   Some events include; martial arts, line dancing, street dancing, mobile climbing wall, football coaching, bouncy castle, bucking bronco, reminiscence workshops, art workshops, information stalls, bingo, music, refreshments and much more...(Information for which can be found in the Council's Hi-5 booklet  at: http://www.stratford.gov.uk/leisure/leisure-1140.cfm).  

The carnival is just one initiative aiming at bridging the generation gap as part of work done by SCWIG (Safer Communities Wellbeing Intergenerational Group) set up by the District Council and the Council's Corporate Aim of creating inclusive communities who successfully secured funding to hold such events.
