Work begins this Wednesday 10 October by Stratford-on-Avon District Council's contractors for the removal of unsafe trees on the Recreation Ground.
The trees that line the banks of the River Avon on the Recreation Ground were significantly damaged during the July floods. Work will be carried out to the trees to ensure that the area is safe for the public.
Warwickshire County Council's team of Tree Inspectors have been out to inspect the trees for safety and instability and will be over-seeing the work, which will be carried out as quickly as possible.
Stratford-on-Avon District Council would like to take this opportunity to thank the public for their continued support while dealing with this potentially dangerous situation, especially while work is being carried out on site.
