Last year Stratford-on-Avon District Residents managed to recycle and compost over 43% of their household waste.  This still meant that 31,000 tonnes of the 55,000 tonnes of the waste collected went to landfill.

Stratford-on-Avon District Council's new refuse and recycling service will mean that recycling more will get easier!

As part of the National Recycling week this week, Stratford-on-Avon District Council would like to shout about the expanded dry recycling service available to residents from August 2008.

Your Blue Lidded Bin will take all that you currently put in your black box, with the addition of:
·         Plastic Bottles
·         Cardboard
·         Cartons (plastic-coated cartons such as Tetra Pak)

Remember that you can now recycle your yellow pages   Recycling means less of the world's precious natural resources being used.
