Kick-start your business or launch a new venture in Shipston-on-Stour this summer with the support of Stratford-on-Avon District Council and Warwickshire County Council for on hand advice.
One-to-one advice and access to a range of services is offered to local new and growing businesses through the successful Shipston Business Support Scheme which, since its launch in December 2005, has helped support more than 60 people develop their businesses.
Economic and business advice is given by Warwickshire County Council's Economic Development Team who has a wide knowledge of agencies in the area, therefore providing access to a range of support services, such as marketing, planning, business registration and financial matters, IT support and environmental business issues.
"Recognising the importance of local businesses and providing them with necessary growth and development opportunities will play a significant role in stimulating the diverse economy of South Warwickshire," says Councillor Chris Williams Portfolio Holder for Community Services.
"I'm extremely pleased to see so many businesses benefiting in the Shipston area from this service," says Councillor Chris Saint, Warwickshire County Council Economic Development Portfolio Holder.
"The advice on offer, ranging from marketing through to finance, is clearly of huge benefit to local firms easing the progression of new and established businesses to contribute to the local economy."
