Stratford-on-Avon District Council's Leader, Councillor Les Topham, announced his newly formed Executive at the District Council's 35th Annual Meeting today, Wednesday 21 May.

"I am looking forward to working together with our new team.  We've got some new blood and we are all committed to work as a team for the good of the community," says Cllr Les Topham, Leader of Stratford-on-Avon District Council.  

"The District Council is improving and has achieved major successes.  We are the 2nd most improved District Council in the country out of 238 with an 81% improvement figure.  We've improved on value for money and made savings in Planning and achieved the majority of our Corporate Strategy targets.  But I'm not satisfied yet and my ambition is still to be an excellent Council.  

"We've got some fresh challenges to address with our new Corporate Strategy and targets, the progress of World Class Stratford and the introduction of a new refuse and recycling service in August.  I am proud to be elected Leader of this District Council and the trust fellow Councillors have placed upon me as Leader."
