Stratford-on-Avon District Council's refuse and recycling service is changing in August 2008 and District Council officers are out and about the District promoting the changes.

The 'Are you ready?'  roadshow hits Stratford this weekend.

Saturday 17 May
8am to 1pm           Stratford Farmer's Market, Rother Street, Stratford-upon-Avon

Sunday 18 May
10am to 3pm         Corn Exchange,
Stratford-upon-Avon (top of Sheep Street where Chapel Street and High Street meet)

District Council officers will be giving out information and answering any questions residents may have about the new service.  Last weekend officers spent a very productive day explaining the new service at Stratford's Eco Fair at Wesley Hall.

The new service is a wheeled bin collection service which will include cardboard, plastic bottles and a weekly collection of kitchen waste.

The new service aims to:

  • Decrease the District's waste
  • Increase recycling
  • Provide better value for money.
