Stratford-on-Avon District Council's refuse and recycling service is currently being affected by the adverse road conditions due to yesterday and today's snowfall.

Conditions have meant that Verdent collection crews have had to cease collections in outlying areas of the District and are now concentrating on clearing Stratford town and Wellesbourne.

Stratford town residents whose usual day of collection is either Thursday or Friday and Wellesbourne residents are advised to leave their bins for possible collection today.

If the thaw continues it may be possible that attempts will be made to clear other areas later today.

Subject to road conditions tomorrow, collections will be made to properties that were due for a collection on Thursday or Friday.  There are a small number of outlying properties that may take longer to get to because of continuing poor road conditions.

The District Council would like to thank residents for their patience and remind them to keep their bins at property boundaries until they can be collected.
