Stratford-on-Avon District Council's Cabinet met yesterday, Monday 30 November to consider the Housing Moratorium.
The District Council's Cabinet agreed that recommendation 1 and 2 (see note below) be referred to Overview & Scrutiny Committee B and did not accept recommendation 3.
The Housing Moratorium remains in place until after Overview & Scrutiny Committee B has considered the matter. The next meeting is not scheduled until March 2010, but an earlier meeting may be arranged.
After consideration by OSC B the matter will then have to come back to the Cabinet for a decision.
Recommendation
(1) That the statement on the Management of Housing Supply issued jointly by the then Planning Portfolio Holder and the Head of Planning Services on 21 June 2006 be withdrawn.
(2) That the Managing Housing Supply Supplementary Planning Document adopted on 13 November 2006 be withdrawn.
(3) That the release of the Strategic Reserve Sites, as identified in Policy STR2.A of the Stratford-on-Avon District Local Plan Review (Saved Policies), will be considered through the normal planning process having regard to the provisions of the development plan and all other relevant material considerations.
