The Stratford-on-Avon Senior Citizen's Action Network (SCAN) is organising a special, free event for all people aged 50 and over.

The free event will be held on Tuesday 17 November from 9.30am to 1pm, at the Stratford-on-Avon Racecourse, Luddington Road, Stratford-upon-Avon.

The event, called 'Safe & Sound: Your Health; Your Home' will focus on falls prevention and keeping healthy and safe in older age.

There will be short presentations by professionals on medicine management, bone health and osteoporosis and mental well-being. In addition, there will be an opportunity to seek information and advice from a wide range of organisations and services including Age Concern, PHILLIS, Occupational Therapy, Stroke Support and Trading Standards.

This informative event will be lively and interactive and will provide an opportunity to learn from others and also to share individual experiences and concerns.

Places are limited, so please book early.

There is free parking on site and free light refreshments will be available during the morning.  Transport may be available on request, although this cannot be guaranteed, but please ask when booking.

For more information or to book a place, please contact Jan Roberts at Stratford-on-Avon District Council on 01789 260108 by Wednesday 11 November.
