Councillors have unanimously set the district element of the council tax in the Stratford-on-Avon District, at a full meeting of the Council today, Monday 22 February, following new proposals by the Leader of the District Council, Cllr Les Topham to reduce the proposed 2.5% increase to a 1.5% increase, one of the lowest in Warwickshire.
The average Band D figure for Stratford-on-Avon District Council households for the 2010/11 financial year will be £129.34, an increase of under 4p a week.
This means that all the services provided by the District Council are only costing £2.49 per week for a Band D household.
