Thirteen car parks around Stratford-on-Avon District have retained their accreditation of the Safer Parking Awards.
The Awards are given under the Safer Parking Scheme managed by the British Parking Association (BPA) in conjunction with the West Midlands Police.
To achieve a Safer Parking Award, a car park has to be vetted by the Police and British Parking Association to confirm that it meets a range of requirements. They are inspected on quality, safety and surveillance criteria along with crime statistics. All the criteria helps to reduce the fear of crime and actual crime.
Cllr Mike Brain, Community Services Portfolio says: "I am pleased that the car parks have retained their accreditation and thank the British Parking Association and the West Midlands Police for their independent assessment."
The car parks that have retained the Safer Parking Awards are:
