Stratford-on-Avon District Council is hosting a 'Tourism Networking Event' at Stratford Race Course on Wednesday 7th July from 2pm to 6pm. This event also coincides with a programme of familiarisation visits to Stratford by tour operators that either already feature the destination, or have the opportunity to feature it in their marketing material.

Stratford-upon-Avon with its Shakespeare heritage, the River Avon and the multiple entertainments in the town centre has been a very popular tourist and visitor destination for many years. With the weakening of the pound, it is anticipated that the number of tourists will increase even more this year, attracting more Americans, European and even Far East Asian tourists with their growing affluence.

Moreover, as Stratford has a wealth of attractions including the picturesque Tudor style houses, Neolithic stones dating back to 2500BC to sites of major battles, most notably that of Edge Hill in 1642 (which changed the pace of the English Civil War), the river Avon, Royal Shakespeare Theatre and Shakespeare Birthplace Trust properties. So whether visitors are interested in history, art, cultural education or just fancy a stroll around the beautiful Bancroft Gardens there is something in Stratford for everyone.

Don't miss the fantastic networking opportunities that this event provides - it can give your business that healthy summer boost it needs!
