Team SDC running in Stratford's Big 10K

Officers from Stratford-on-Avon District Council will be taking part in the Stratford's Big 10K on Sunday 29 August.

Team SDC is made up of 19 members of staff including the Chief Executive, Paul Lankester, Strategic Directors, Trevor Askew and Dave Nash, Heads of Service and other members of staff from all service areas.

Team SDC is aiming to raise over £1,000 for the District Council Chairman's Charities Diabetes UK, Stratford Mencap and Warwickshire and Northants Air Ambulance (as voted by staff).

Tracey Walton, SDC team co-ordinator says: "As a Council we do a number of fundraising events for local charities and are always keen to support the Chairman's Charities.  Last year a number of staff entered the Stratford's Big 10K individually and this time we thought we would enter as a District Council team."

This is the 2^nd Stratford Big 10K which is a road race starting at Stratford Racecourse and includes part of Stratford's picturesque Greenway and finishes in the beautiful town centre along side the River Avon.
