Take a walk on Sunday 26 September to celebrate National Walking Day and join Stratford District Council's Active Communities Team for a walk in Stratford-upon-Avon.

The two walks being organised are designed specifically with those aged 45 and above in mind.

Walk One for advanced walkers will be about 6 miles and take about two and a half hours, and Walk Two for mid-range walkers will be about 4 miles and will take under 2 hours.

Both walks start at 10am from Stratford Leisure and Visitors Centre, and will take in the local countryside through Clifford Chambers including some small hills, waterfront areas and rural off-road country footpaths. Walkers from both walks will have the opportunity to socialise together and purchase refreshments afterwards.

Also on Sunday 26 September ITV are hosting the main regional event in Birmingham at 11am from Highbury Park for a 2-mile walk though one of Birmingham's most beautiful parks.
