The Cabinet - 4 October - Summary of Decisions

Stratford-on-Avon District Council's Cabinet today, Monday 4 October, considered a number of items including:

• Item 7 Stratford-upon-Avon: Historic Spine Shop Front Grant Scheme. 
  Agreed recommendation that the Shop Front Grant Scheme be approved.
• Item 8 Strategic Asset Group: Consideration of Land Categories for Potential Disposal.
  Agreed recommendation that delegated authority be given to the Head of Resources, in consultation with the Resources portfolio holder and appropriate Ward Member, to dispose of parcels of land or property identified by The Strategic Asset Group for affordable housing.
• Item 10 Housing Advisory Panel
  The Cabinet formally adopts the Empty Dwelling Management Orders Policy.
• Item 11 Grant funding to lessen the impact of the economic downturn
  Agreed recommendation that The Cabinet approves the release of funding received from the Department of Communities for Local Government and Department of Work and Pensions - £20,000 grant funding to the CAB to allow continuation of the Court Desk services and £52,809 administration grant funding to support the Benefit service address the increase in workload.
• Item 12 Rural Cinema (Moving Pictures)
  Agreed recommendation that the Rural Cinema continues in its present format and the new scale of charges proposed in the report is approved.
