A new shelter and graffiti wall specifically designed for young people has been installed at Stratford-on-Avon District Council's Skate Park in Stratford-upon-Avon.

The new facilities have been funded by the South Warwickshire Community Safety Partnership. The youth shelter has been supplied by specialist installers Monster Play, enabling groups of young people to meet and socialise whilst being protected from the elements. It is solidly built and resembles a bus shelter with seating. This high tech facility also includes a solar panel which powers a light, radio and Bluetooth Wireless Technology to allow users to play music which is stored on their mobile phones through a built in loudspeaker.

Councillor Mike Brain, Technical Services Portfolio for the District Council says: “The shelter and graffiti wall was requested and chosen by the young people who regularly use the Skate Park. It's another great example of responding to the needs of young people in the community by talking to them about the services they would like to see in their area."
