Work will start this Wednesday 28th September on the 3 new pre-cast concrete ramps for Stratford Skate Park.

Part of the Skate Park will be fenced off on Wednesday to dig out the footings and prepare the bases for installation but the rest of the site will remain open.

The whole of the Skate Park will be closed to all users on Thursday 29th September whilst the crane lifts the new ramps into place and the concrete bases sets.

Weather permitting the Skate Park will be fully open on Friday 30th September.

The 3 new concrete ramps are:

  • Jump Box
  •  Pyramid with Ledge
  • Curb Table Combi

The new equipment costing over £20,000 has been funded by the Stratford Town Trust, The Save Stratford Stake Park Group and the Big Lottery as part of Stratford-on-Avon District Council's 'Play Strategy'.

The new equipment is part of an ongoing investment programme by the District Council to redevelop the facility, following the removal of the original wooden skate park in 2010 and over the last four years has invested over £100,000 in new equipment chosen by the local young people who regularly use Stratford Skate Park.
