From October Stratford-on-Avon District Council's Planning Committee (West) meeting will trial a new start time of 2pm for 3 months.
At the Planning Committee (West) on 26 May the Committee considered the start time and venue for meetings of the Committee for the forth coming year (2011/12).
Following discussion on the start times for future meetings during the year and in order to gauge the benefits of daytime meetings over evening meetings, it was resolved that a 2pm start time be trialled for a period of 3 months during 2011/12.
Cllr Sir William Lawrence, Chairman of Planning Meeting (West) says: “Trying to find a suitable start time for meetings is always a difficult task and I've been liaising with Officers over arrangements for the start of the trial period. I realise that not everyone will be happy with these changes but I would like to emphasis that this is only a trial and no one time suits everyone it's all about compromise."
The first Planning Committee (West) to start at 2pm will be on 19 October 2011.
