Stratford-on-Avon District Council will be taking part in Stratford Business Forum's Jobs Fair next Thursday 24 November.  The event is being held at the Civic Hall in Rother Street, Stratford-upon-Avon from 9am to 3pm.

Around 40 local organisations and businesses including JobsCentrePlus, The Royal Shakespeare Company, NFU Mutual and DSC Europe will be present giving people the chance to talk about job opportunities and get advice on CV writing and interview techniques as well as information on apprenticeship schemes.  Employers will be advertising vacancies, apprenticeships and other available opportunities at the fair.

Dave Webb, Head of Business, Housing and Revenues at Stratford District Council says: “The jobs fair is an excellent way for those looking for work or training to meet with a range of employers in the local area all under one roof.  Times are tough in the jobs market so that makes events like these even more important for Stratford District residents to come along to and receive information on a host of opportunities available to them which will improve their employment prospects.

“There will be a number of employers, including the District Council, from a range of industries on hand to offer expert advice, job vacancies, and apprenticeship schemes. I would urge as many people as possible to attend and take advantage of what this event can offer.  Although the District Council is not currently recruiting it is involved in the apprenticeship scheme and looking to fill four apprentice/trainee positions."
