Harbury have come through two rounds of competition and are now through to the final of an 'Energyshare' competition to win £100,000!

The winner is decided purely by email/internet votes and Harbury are currently in third place.

Harbury's bid is for many small community based building improvements (village hall, church, rugby club, library and school), for producing or saving energy.

Anyone over 13 can vote - it would be so fantastic for a small rural village in Warwickshire to beat the city competitors.

Voting ends at 5pm on Saturday 3rd December.

Harbury are only about 700 votes short of the leader at the moment.

The £100,000 prize fund is sponsored by British Gas;  Energyshare is a collaboration between British Gas, River Cottage and Friends of the Earth.

Harbury are the only Warwickshire finalist and have competed with 1000 other groups to reach this final stage of the competition.  Now they are up against only five other groups - but two are giants - Sheffield and Manchester as well as Wadebridge, Lyme Regis and Hexham.

Harbury is the smallest community in this group but, undeterred, they want to show that small groups and communities can make a big difference.

The winner will be the group with the most internet votes.  We will only win if lots of people in Warwickshire make the effort to vote for us.

Please go to http://www.energyshare.com/voting/  to register and then to vote.
