Stratford-on-Avon District Sports Awards 2012 – Category finalists

The Stratford-on-Avon District Sports Awards evening organised by Stratford-on-Avon District Council, hosted by the Holiday Inn Hotel and sponsored by NFU Mutual, Everyone Active, VASA and the Stratford Herald newspaper will be taking place on Friday 2 March 2012.

With 2012 being Olympic year the District Council aims to make the event a very special occasion bring together past winners, five local Olympians and two Paralympians with the stars of the future and those that work tirelessly behind the scenes. There's also a new format for the evening with a 3 course dinner, entertainment and presentations.

All the categories have been decided upon by a panel of judges and the winners will be announced at the celebration evening in March.

Cllr Mike Brain, Technical Services Portfolio says: “Stratford-on-Avon District has so much talent from various sporting disciplines and this wonderful event highlights the dedication, expertise and achievements of individuals and teams in the District."
