Stratford-upon-Avon's Visitor Information Centre (VIC) relocated to its original location in Bridgefoot on 1st February 2012. The reopening of the visitor centre is as a result of Stratford-on-Avon District Council and Stratford-upon-Avon College working together to deliver this service to visitors and residents.

Martin Penny, Principal of Stratford-upon-Avon college says: “The new Visitor Information Centre is back in its right location; this fabulous facility has been designed to meet the needs of visitors and residents of our town and District. It is a perfect example of what can be achieved when people work together, and enables the Apprentices from our college to deliver services in a real working environment."

Councillor Valerie Hobbs, Enterprise, Housing & Revenues Portfolio says: “This opening event is the culmination of a lot of planning and hard work. Stratford-upon-Avon now has a visitor information centre to be proud of.  The Centre has a great new look and feel. I am sure it will provide a warm welcome for visitors to Stratford-upon-Avon showcasing everything the town and the District have to offer.  I would like to wish the College every success in their new premises."

Located at one of the key gateways to Stratford-Upon-Avon, the VIC is the perfect place to discover more about Stratford-upon-Avon, its surrounding historic, towns, villages and countryside.  A wealth of information is available to help enhance the visitor experience including; where to stay, where to eat and drink, what to see and do and how to get there.   There is information to keep both visitors and residents up to date with local events and save them time and money with discounted 'queue-buster' tickets for attractions.

Close by is Bridgefoot car park with plenty of accessible parking including a Shop Mobility centre where mobility scooters can be hired.  There is level access and a loop system for the deaf and hard of hearing.

Services offered at the Visitor Information Centre include:

  • Last minute accommodation booking
  • Sales of books, guides, maps and souvenirs
