It's time to get out the flags and bunting, join up with friends and neighbours and start your plans to celebrate the Queens' Diamond Jubilee in style!

Stratford-on-Avon District is doing its bit to help local people organise their own right royal celebration by waiving all fees on street closures for street parties held between Saturday 2 and 5 June 2012.

The District Council has already received 6 applications* for Diamond Jubilee celebrations for:

  • Southam - 2 June
  • Hampton Lucy - 4 June
  • Ashorne - 4 June
  • Oxhill - 3 and 4 June
  • Preston on Stour - 4 June
  • Bishops Itchington - 4 June

The majority of street parties will be able to be conducted without the need for a licence. Any music played at a street party would be considered to be incidental to the event and would not require a licence. However, if you are looking to sell alcohol at your event, you will need to make an application for a Temporary Event Notice.  These must be applied for at least ten full and clear working days in advance. The final date for receipt of applications for a Temporary Event Notice is FRIDAY 18 MAY 2012. Applications received after this time will be unable to be processed.

Although the deadline for road closures has now passed any new applications received will still be considered and processed.

For more information, advice and to download an application form please go to the Queen's Diamond Jubilee pages on the District Council's website.
