Budding entrepreneurs will get the chance to trade for just £10 at local markets in June.
Stratford-on-Avon District Council together with Sketts and Stratford Town Council are inviting perspective businesses and budding entrepreneurs of all ages the opportunity to road test their wares and products at Stratford market on Friday 29 June.
The idea follows a review by retail expert Mary Portas who proposed a national markets day to promote town centre shopping. 'Love your Local Market' is an important recommendation by Mary Portas in her recent report to the Government about how to keep town centres buzzing and alive.
The National Association of British market Authorities (NABMA) want to encourage people to gain greater affection for the markets place in the local community, as well as flagging up the business opportunities offered by markets and these being fantastic testing ground for budding entrepreneurs. National markets Day provides an ideal platform to do this.
National Markets Day takes place between 23 June and 8 July and will be celebrated locally in Stratford and Southam at the following markets:
So….don't stall….put your name forward to have a stall for 'a tenner'.
Local businesses who would like to participate should contact Sketts on 01789 267000 or email: info@sketts.co.uk
