Volunteering opportunities at next Arden Community Forum

Want to find out more about volunteering? Then come along to the next Arden Community Forum on Thursday 20 September from 6.30pmat Studley Village Hall, High Street, Studley, B80 7HJ.

The 'Open House Session' before the forum at 7pm will have a range of volunteer groups such as Age UK Studley, Bromford Support, Earlswood Residents Association, Henley Community First Responders, Credit Union, Springfield MIND, VASA and WRAP who are coming along to promote their work and also raise awareness of volunteering opportunities.  Also, Studley Community Library will also be open from 6pm – 7pm. Come along to support them, enjoy a tea/coffee kindly served by Studley Village Hall Coffee Shop volunteers.

The forum topics for discussion include:

  • Targeted Youth Support- what does it mean?
  • An update from Station Commander Paul Morley who will give an update on Alcester Fire Station and what it means to Studley and the surrounding parishes.
  • Help set your Local Police priorities for the next 3 months.

A local policing Safer Neighbourhoods Team surgery will also take place at 6.30pm, before the community forum meeting. Officers will provide feedback on the issues raised at earlier surgeries and residents will be able to hear the latest on policing in their local area.

Community Forums are part of a countywide initiative involving Warwickshire County Council, District and Borough Councils, NHS Warwickshire, Warwickshire Police and Warwickshire Together partners.

There are 30 forums across Warwickshire, which bring together elected representatives across all tiers of local government - County, District and Borough and Parish, together with a range of other community representatives.
