Stratford-on-Avon District Council officials are closing the Tramway Bridge in Stratford-upon-Avon next week to carry out essential maintenance work to the lighting system and the bridge surface.

The footbridge will be closed from 6am on Thursday 27 September until 7.15am on Friday 28 September in order to carry out the work quickly and safely.

This is a change to the orginal schedule due to the weather forecast.

Pedestrians are advised that they will need to use alternative routes, either the footpath on the CloptonBridge (nearest and upriver) or Lucy's Mill pedestrian Bridge (downriver with limited accessibility).

Stratford-on-Avon District Council would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
