Stratford-on-Avon District Council is reminding residents to recycle their old Yellow Pages.

People living in Stratford-on-Avon District are currently receiving their new Yellow Pages, and as the new one arrives, there is the danger of many homes throwing the old one straight in the general waste bin.

The District Council is encouraging all residents to recycle their old Yellow Pages rather than put it in their rubbish bin and if people put these in their bins the material will go straight to landfill, but if they are recycled, the material will be made into a range of useful materials such as cardboard, packaging, insulation material and newsprint.

The District Council is able to collect Yellow Pages in the blue-lidded recycling bin from the kerbside as part of the usual fortnightly collection.

Cllr Lynda Organ, Technical Services Portfolio says: “It's such a massive amount of paper; it would be fantastic if every single resident in the District could help the environment by recycling their Yellow Pages this year."
