Refuse & Recycling service update - Monday 21 January

Biffa are attempting to carry out collection rounds as normal today, Monday 21 January. However some areas are currently not accessible or are deemed unsafe for the crews & vehicles to access. 

Where possible, the crews may attempt to access these areas later in the day so residents should leave bins out.

 

Any missed bins that cannot be emptied today will be collected on the next scheduled collection in 2 weeks time. Additional waste (up to 3 sacks) or recycling (in cardboard boxes / rigid containers) can be put alongside wheeled bins for collection.

 

The District Council would like to apologise for any  disruption to the normal service and thank you for your patience.

 A further update will be given later today after collection rounds have finished for the day.
