Voting begins today, Tuesday 28 May in The Big Vote to help set the Police priorities for the next three months in the run up to the next Community Forum for Stour/Shipston.  Make sure you cast your vote at www.warwickshire.police.uk/Shipston_BigVote by Monday 10 June.

The next forum takes place at 7pm on Tuesday 11 June at Tysoe Primary School, Tysoe

Items on the agenda include:

  • Ron Ball, Police & Crime Commissioner
  • Latest on the Mobile Library review
  • The annual State of the District information from Stratford-on-Avon District Council
  • Winner of the dog fouling poster competition (more information on this in a separate news release – photo opportunity Monday 10 June at 1.40pm at ShipstonHigh School).

Also before the Community Forum at 6.30pm the local vet, pet shop and others will be on hand to offer free advice and goodies for dog owners.

Community Forums are an interactive event enabling residents to learn about issues big and small affecting their area, get answers to questions and influence local decision-making. Anyone with a question about a local issue can go along and put it to officers from a range of organisations.

Community Forums are part of a countywide initiative involving Warwickshire County Council, District and Borough Councils, NHS Warwickshire, Warwickshire Police and Warwickshire Together partners.

There are 30 forums across Warwickshire, which bring together elected representatives across all tiers of local government - County, District and Borough and Parish, together with a range of other community representatives.
